OUR STORY

Fred Rosenthal Plumbing & Electrical was founded in 1982 by Fred Rosenthal.

At the time, plumbing work in Hout Bay was often carried out by general tradespeople rather than specialist technicians. Fred was one of the first to bring formal training and genuine trade expertise to the area.

From the beginning, the business has been built on skilled, professional workmanship. That commitment to doing the job properly helped establish us as a trusted service provider in Hout Bay. Over time, our reputation did the talking, and Fred Rosenthal Plumbing & Electrical (FRP&E) grew through word of mouth and relationships that have lasted for years.

In 2026, Fred's son, Tsevi Rosenthal, took over. He continues to lead with the same values Fred established, and the same commitment to being the team our community can count on.

Certifications & Registrations

We are registered with the Plumbing Industry Registration Board (PIRB) and registered as an Electrical Contractor with the Department of Employment and Labour (DoEL).

This means every job we take on is carried out in line with South African National Standards (SANS). We're also authorised to issue valid Certificates of Compliance (CoCs), confirming that a property's plumbing or electrical systems are safe and meet the required standard. These documents are often needed by municipalities, insurance companies, and property sellers.

For our clients, these registrations offer greater confidence in the quality and safety of the work carried out in their home or business. With FRP&E, you're in qualified hands.
